Tennessee vs Longwood Prediction | March Madness Picks and Bracketology

Many people felt that Tennessee got jobbed by only being seeded third and rightfully so. The Volunteers put together quite a run in the SEC Tournament as they knocked off each of Mississippi State, Kentucky and Texas A&M to claim the title. Not only did the Vols win all three games but they largely dominated them as well. With one of the best defensive efficiency ratings in the country, Rick Barnes’ team is poised to make some noise in the NCAA Tournament.

Then, there’s Longwood. By winning the Big South Tournament, the Lancers secured their first-ever trip to the Big Dance. What Longwood will give up in size in this First Round matchup against Tennessee, they figure to make up for in veteran savvy and experience. The Lancers’ backcourt is loaded, with each of Justin Hill, Isaiah Wilkins and DeShaun Wade averaging in double figures scoring this season.

Longwood will be playing with absolutely zero pressure as a massive underdog in this game. Heck, these Lancers already have gone further than any team in the history of the program before them. Given how Rick Barnes-coached teams have tended to struggle in March Madness, the underdog is worthy of consideration catching a massive number.

Our college basketball betting Tennessee vs Longwood prediction tonight will be Longwood +17 at BetUS

For what it’s worth, the ESPN Matchup Predictor gives Tennessee a 95.9% chance to win.
