Behind a rowdy Wisconsin crowd, the Milwaukee Bucks looked energized in Game 3, smashing the Phoenix Suns. Maybe Milwaukee isn’t such a “terrible city” after all? ESPN may need to change their tune if the Bucks win another game at home tonight, tying the series. This NBA betting preview for the Suns vs Bucks Finals matchup will provide game info, betting trends, odds and a prediction for Game 4 of this series.

Phoenix Suns vs Milwaukee Bucks Betting Preview and Prediction | NBA Finals

NBA Finals Game 4 (PHO Leads 2-1)
Phoenix Suns (51-21, 24-12 Away) vs. Milwaukee Bucks (46-26, 26-10 Home)
Date: Wednesday, July 14, 2021
Time: 8 pm EST
Venue: Fiserv Forum – Milwaukee, WI
Coverage: ABC

A massive second quarter by Milwaukee is really what decided Game 3. However, the fact that Devin Booker could never get going didn’t help. The young Suns star shot 3-14 in 29 minutes, sitting down to rest before his backcourt mate Chris Paul. While 48.2% shooting as a team looks good, they attempted just 16 free throws, turned the ball over 14 times and let the Bucks out-hustle them in offensive rebounds, 13-to-6. The good news is that Paul stayed steady and both Jae Crowder and Deandre Ayton had solid performances on the road. They must now figure out how to slow down Milwaukee.

The Bucks truly used the energy of their home crowd, featuring David Bakhtiari pounding beers. They injected energy into a Bucks team that trailed after the first quarter, but had that massive 35-point second. Giannis Antetokounmpo also had a terrific game. The Suns continue to let him getting into the paint whenever he wants, but when he shoots 13-of-17 from the free throw line, that strategy doesn’t work. Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton also chipped in 39 points. They even figured out that playing Bobby Portis is a good idea.

Now, will the Bucks turn around and make poor decision after another tonight? It’s always a possibility with this team.

Suns vs Bucks Prediction

This NBA prediction uses NumberFire’s probability model. They give Milwaukee a 66.1% chance to win Game 4 of this NBA Finals matchup.

The 20-point margin in Game 3 does not tell the full story of last game. Overall, it was a close matchup, and a number of Suns players played very well. Still, there is something to be said about the home crowd for Milwaukee. Giannis also looked much more comfortable at the free throw line. If that continues, it will be tough for the Suns to win. For that reason, I will side with the Bucks in this game. They will tie the series back up and cover the spread.
