Seahawks’ Playoff Chances

By no means are they dead in the water, but the Seattle Seahawks playoff chances are looking worse and worse. Prior to last week, Seattle had a 59% chance to make the playoffs. However, with a loss to the Packers and a win by the Rams, Seattle lost the lead in the division. It also dropped the Seahawks’ playoff chances to just 34%, according to the NFL Playoff Picture.

If Seattle defeats Minnesota this week, the Seahawks’ chances to make the playoffs rise to 50%. However, a loss would drop the odds to just 22%. I don’t know about you, but I don’t feel great about 22… percent. Obviously, a win over the Vikings and a loss by the Rams would put Seattle back atop the division, making their Week 18 matchup very important.

Seattle Seahawks Remaining Schedule

The final three weeks of the season are going to be interesting in the NFC West. The Seattle Seahawks’ remaining schedule isn’t easy at all, and it very well could and likely will come down to Week 18.

This week, the Seahawks are at home against the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings are an NFC Wild Card team, so it is an important game. More importantly, a loss against and NFC team along with a win for the Los Angeles Rams would make the path to the playoffs very difficult.

In Week 17, the Seahawks travel to Chicago to face a struggling Bears team. The final week is a road matchup against the division-leading Rams. This game very well could be for the division and a playoff spot. With the time of this matchup TBD, do not be surprised if it is flexed into primetime.

NFL Playoff Picture | NFC Standings

The NFL Playoff Picture down the stretch of the regular season is a competitive one. The NFC Playoff Picture in particular could see a lot of movement over the final three weeks. There are still divisions that are up for grabs, as is a Wild Card spot!
