Organized by the Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia, the richest race on planet earth is all set to take place with 16 races across the two days of the event at Riyadh’s King Abdulaziz Racetrack. The 2-day International race was held for the first time in February 2020 and is known as the richest horse race with $20 million, more than three times Europe’s richest race in France.

This race is one of the most anticipated sporting events in Saudi Arabia’s sporting calendar and has drawn more than 1,400 participants from 22 countries.

2023 Saudi Cup Preview:

The 2-day International race was held for the first time in February 2020 and is known as the richest horse race with $20 million, more than three times Europe’s richest race in France. This race is one of the most anticipated sporting events in Saudi Arabia’s sporting calendar and has drawn more than 1,400 participants from 22 countries.

13 of the world’s best horses will be participating in the 2023 Saudi Cup race, with contestants from France, the USA, Canada, and Japan while Abdullah Alawfi and Naif Alanazi will be representing the Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia.

In the end, the winning horse will get $10 million and then horses till tenth place will share another $ 10 million between them.

The Saudi Cup 2023 card includes five Group 3 races, the Group 1 Saudi Cup, a revised edition of the Group 1 Obaiya Arabian Classic, and the Group 2 Al Mneefah Cup for Purebred Arabians (2,100 metres). There’ll be a $500,000 Saudi International Handicap and an International Jockeys Challenge as well. Moreover, nine top-class races on dirt and turf will also be available to watch.

Last year’s winner, Moutaib Almulawah-trained Emblem Road will be looking forward become the first horse in the four-year history to win the coveted rice twice. However, the Bob Baffert-trained Taiba, who is coming off a win in the Grade 1 Malibu Stakes, is the favourite to win the race this year.

2023 Saudi Cup Tickets:

Fans can purchase the tickets from the ticketing site ‘koobit.com’. Children under age 6 aren’t allowed to enter. That said, there is no discounted ticket for children. Moreover, no discounted tickets are available for students and senior citizens as well.
