Rams vs Packers NFL Playoffs Overview

The Rams enter this game with plenty of questions at quarterback. No matter what way the team or media wants to spin it, Jared Goff was benched last week. Before Goff practiced, Sean McVay named John Wolford the starter. After nearly breaking his neck, Goff came into the game and completed less than half of his passes. He is the starter by default this week, and his struggles in cold weather are well documented.

Defensively, Aaron Donald’s rib injury is the headline. He was removed from the Rams injury report and will be active, though Donald will likely be in a bit of pain. Still, the Rams defense as a whole is incredibly athletic and talented. They are the top-ranked defense in the league, allowing the fewest yards per play (4.6) and points per game (18.6).

Despite their offensive line injuries this season, this Packers offense has been rolling, thanks to MVP Aaron Rodgers. He threw for a career-high 48 touchdowns and five interceptions in the regular season, while also setting career-highs in completion percentage (70.7%) and QBR (84.4), while getting sacked the fewest times in his career as a starter (20). Davante Adams has certainly made his life easier, finishing the season with 1,374 yards and 18 touchdowns in only 14 games.

Defensively, this team has come up with big plays when they needed them, but not many other times. They averaged just 1.1 takeaways per game, which is tied for the fifth-worst in the NFL. Still, the main talking point by most people is their run defense. Many act the Packers’ defensive line parts the Red Sea like Moses. While they’re not great, they rank tied for 17th in yards per carry allowed (4.5).

  • The Packers are 6-0 against the spread (ATS) in their last six games against the Rams.
  • The Packers are 5-1 straight up in their last six games against the Rams.
  • The total has hit the under in five of the last six matchups between the Rams and Packers in Green Bay.
  • The Rams are 6-3 ATS in their last nine games.
  • The total has hit the under in four of the Rams’ last five games.
  • The Packers are 4-2 ATS in their last six games.
  • The Packers are 7-2 ATS in their last nine games played in January.

Monkey Knife Fight NFL Playoffs Props | Rams vs Packers

Monkey Knife Fight is a DFS site unlike DraftKings or FanDuel. Instead, the contests feature props to play, with varying multipliers for each contest. Unlike the aforementioned sites, you are only competing with yourself when making NFL picks on MKF, and you do not need to worry about annoying salary caps.

Monkey Knife Fight has several great NFL props for the entire NFL Playoffs Wild Card Weekend slate. Here is one in particular that I like for the Rams vs Seahawks.

For this contest on Monkey Knife Fight, you get to pick three players to score at least three total touchdowns to double your money!

This is an easy choice. Davante Adams is a touchdown machine, scoring more than one per game. Jalen Ramsey will be on Adams. While this is a tough one-on-one matchup, Ramsey is far better against bigger, physical receivers. Adams has the length, but he plays like a quick, shifty player.

As for the other two, these running backs have the usage. The Packers have been vocal about managing Aaron Jones’ workload so he is fresh for the NFL Playoffs. Well, here we are. Cam Akers is an unbelievably talented running back for the Rams. He can score from anywhere on the field, busting big plays. Akers is capable of finishing runs in the red zone or catching a touchdown.

Predicting this prop correctly earns you 2x your buy-in on Monkey Knife Fight this weekend!

Rams vs Packers NFL Playoffs Prediction

There have been eight games played this season in below freezing temperatures. The over has hit in all of them.

If there is going to be high scoring in this game, as this trend would suggest, then clearly we should side with the team we can trust to score. The Packers are the highest-scoring team in the NFL (31.8), while the Rams have a quarterback with a broken thumb that has thrown five interceptions to zero touchdowns in two games under 30 degrees.
