Their offense runs through big man Zach Edey who averages 22 points and 12 rebounds per game. The only question about Purdue is what their offense can do without Edey on the floor. For as dynamic as their offense is with Edey in the game, they don’t have any big time players outside of him. While they are a deep team, Purdue lacks players that can take over games themselves outside of Edey.
On Wednesday night, Fairleigh Dickinson pummeled Texas Southern 84-61 to get a chance to go up against Purdue. They looked good on both sides of the ball. With that being said, Texas Southern came into the game 14-21 for a reason and hardly pose a challenge for the vast majority of college teams. The big issue from Fairleigh Dickinson is their lack of height. They have just one player over 6’6″ in junior forward Pier-Olivier Racine.
