Puka Nacua Has Historic Fantasy Football Performance

If there was any doubt about his value after last week’s great performance, Puka Nacua fantasy football owners should have their questions answered now. The rookie wide receiver for the Los Angeles Rams turned in another fantastic fantasy performance in NFL Week 2, making him a must-start player going forward.

Puka Nacua Has Historic Fantasy Football Performance

Last week, we told you Puka Nacua needs to be owned in fantasy football. Despite his injury, we kept telling you on Fantasy Football by Committee to get him in your starting lineup. Now, through two weeks, Puka Nacua has made NFL history.

On Sunday, Nacua caught 15 passes, which is the most by a rookie in NFL history. This brings his total to 25 receptions through two weeks, which is also an NFL rookie record. Clearly, Puka Nacua fantasy football owners have reaped the benefits.

With two Monday Night Football games left to be played, Nacua ranks as the fantasy WR2 in PPR leagues, behind only Tyreek Hill. If he is still on waivers in any league size, make sure you add and start Puka Nacua.

    Cooper Kupp Injury Update

The only questions Puka Nacua fantasy football owners have about his value are centered around the Cooper Kupp injury update. Nacua is currently operating in the Kupp role on the Los Angeles Rams, and he is putting up Kupp-like numbers. However, once Cooper Kupp returns, he will retake his role, leaving questions about the rookie.

The recent Cooper Kupp injury update indicates he will return to the lineup when he is first eligible, which would be in Week 5. This doesn’t mean Nacua is only useful for two more weeks, however. The Rams have been desperate for a second wide receiver to step up, and there were plenty of weeks last season when nobody did. Nacua has stepped up, impressed, and earned the trust of Matthew Stafford.

He will still have a role once Kupp returns. In other words, make sure Puka Nacua isn’t on the fantasy football waiver wire.
