The Penguins vs Rangers game tonight comes across as a very predictable one to me. Though they have not been fantastic on the road, my prediction is the Penguins to take care of business against the Rangers tonight.

Penguins vs Rangers Season Series in Review
These two teams played each other tough at the beginning of the season, going to OT in two of their first three meetings. Since then, the Penguins have beaten the Rangers handily.
Most importantly, the Penguins lead their season series against the Rangers five games to one, outscoring them by six goals in their last two contests.
Jarry Provides Spark for Already Soaring Penguins
The Penguins will also get a boost from returning goaltender Tristan Jarry tonight, who has not played since March 29th. Pittsburgh went 8-3 in the month of March when Jarry was in net, and he is 15-8-2 over all with a respectable .910 sv% and 2.78 GAA.
Rangers Recent Struggles Bode Well For Penguins
Both teams are well-rested, not having played since Saturday night. However, the Rangers were just pushed to the limits by the NHL’s worst team in the Buffalo Sabres, going to overtime in consecutive games. Buffalo just lost 18 games in a row, and own a record of 8-23-6 on the season.
Meanwhile, the Penguins spent the last week beating very good teams in the Islanders and Bruins, who have a combined 43 wins this season.
Penguins vs Rangers Prediction and Best Bet
The Penguins are simply the better team, both recently and throughout the entire season. I expect plenty of goals to be scored, and the Penguins to come out on top.
I am all in on the Penguins ML, but also have my eye on the over. Well-rested teams means fresh legs, and fresh legs usually lead to precise puck movement and increased shot accuracy. The Penguins and the Rangers are both in the top third of the NHL in goals scored as well, averaging 3.24 and 3.14 per game respectively. Even at -115, the over is worth half a unit.
