This is a massive game atop the AFC East. The winner will take over the top spot in the division, though there will be another matchup between these teams in Week 16.
The Patriots have the longest winning streak in the NFL, winning six games in a row. A strong special teams unit kept them in games last season. That unit remains strong this year, but they add to that an elite defense and an efficient offense. While some want to criticize Mac Jones for being a “game manager” as if it is an insult, the Patriots can point to a couple of decades of greatness with their system sporting a game manager under center.
You can’t help but to think this is a must-win game for the Bills. Having the road to the Super Bowl go through Buffalo would be a big advantage, and it will be tough to win at New England in a couple of weeks. Josh Allen has taken noticeable steps forward in each of his first three seasons in the NFL, but there seems to be a noticeable step backward this season. He needs to be better for the Bills to get over the hump as a franchise.
