Although their recent 17-point loss to Memphis on the road wasn’t a great look, the Rebels have looked really good early on this season. With their only other loss coming by just two points to Purdue, Ole Miss has looked good even against lesser competition.
The reason for the Rebels’ success is their depth offensively. Ole Miss has five players averaging over nine points per game and three averaging over 12 points per game. On top of that, Ole Miss thrives on being solid at virtually every offensive/efficiency stat. While they aren’t “elite” at any one thing, they play fundamentally sound basketball.
The one question mark with Ole Miss is how they’ll fare against elevated competition. Although they are ranked in the current polls, they have only played two games against ranked teams and have lost both of those games.
