If you are unaware of what NFL survivor picks are, the basic concept is you make NFL picks throughout the season, but you can only pick a team once. Once you lose, you’re knocked out, so choose your Week 11 NFL Survivor Pool picks wisely.
If you are new to reading my survivor articles, what I do is outline my “lock of the week,” my “value of the week” and my “high-risk, high-reward pick.”
The lock of the week details what team I think has the best chance of winning their matchup. This would most likely be a good team that plays a bad team. The lock is also the official pick for NFL Survivor Pools, meaning we will not reuse a “lock.” My value pick of the week details a mid-tier team that has a good matchup. And finally, my high-risk, high-reward pick details a bad team that has a good matchup.
Teams Used:
- San Francisco 49ers
- Cleveland Browns
- Cincinnati Bengals
- Los Angeles Chargers
- Jacksonville Jaguars
- Green Bay Packers
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- Philadelphia Eagles
- Miami Dolphins
- Dallas Cowboys

Baltimore Ravens vs. Carolina Panthers
Baker Mayfield is back and do you know what that means? The worst-rated quarterback in the NFL is back under center for the Carolina Panthers. In the past few games, the only way that it seemed that Carolina could move the ball is with D’Onta Foreman. They may find trouble doing that again in this game because although Baltimore was bad against the run earlier this season, they just added Roquan Smith and they get Tyus Bowser back from injury.
Coming off of a bye, the Baltimore Ravens should be well-rested and ready to play. Mark Andrews is back and should provide Lamar Jackson with a reliable passing threat. Gus Edwards is also scheduled to play. Baltimore should be able to get both Edwards and Kenyan Drake going in this game, as Carolina gives up just over 139 yards on the ground per game. This signifies well for Jackson especially, who you would imagine starts keeping the ball more on options, as we inch closer to the playoffs.

New York Giants vs. Detroit Lions
Inconsistency is what makes me love the New York Giants in this spot. The Giants are playing good football right now. Daniel Jones looks fine and Saquon Barkley looks like he did during his rookie year. That does not bode well for a Lions defense that is one of the worst of all time. The Lions are giving up 161 yards per game on the ground this season, while Barkley is averaging 103.4 rushing yards per game. Considering the Giants offense revolves around Barkley, I would imagine that a majority of Brian Daboll’s game plan involves the Penn State alum.
The Lions should have some offensive weapons healthy this week in D’Andre Swift and Josh Reynolds. While that’s fine for Detroit, that should not scare you off of this pick, as the Giants have been playing fine defense this year. The key for the Giants in this game is to get Jared Goff moving. Goff has the ability to be a good quarterback when his feet are set and he has a clean pocket. Kayvon Thibodeaux, Leonard Williams and Dexter Lawrence should have too tough of a time making that happen either with Detroit’s average offensive line.

Washington Commanders vs. Houston Texans
The way that Washington ran their offense against Philadelphia last week was great. They dominated the time of possession and kept Philadelphia’s good players off of the field. While Houston certainly does not have as much talent as Philadelphia, I don’t see why Washington should go away from that strategy.
While Taylor Heinicke has proven that he may not always be the most reliable quarterback, he does win games. I really like Brian Robinson in this spot, as I don’t see why Washington does not workhorse him in this game. The Texans are giving up 182 rushing yards per game on the ground, which is by far the worst in the NFL this year. Establishing a run game should be perfect to get the young quarterback settled into the offense. When Washington does pass the ball, there is no one on the Texans defense that scares you either. Derek Stingley has been playing fine, but Terry McLaurin is a nightmare matchup for any NFL corner.
I think that Washington’s offense alone should be able to win this game, but with Chase Young allegedly back, that is just icing on the cake.
