If you are unaware of what NFL survivor picks are, the basic concept is you make NFL picks throughout the season, but you can only pick a team once. Once you lose, you’re knocked out, so choose your Week 10 NFL Survivor Pool picks wisely.

If you are new to reading my survivor articles, what I do is outline my “lock of the week,” my “value of the week” and my “high-risk, high-reward pick.”

The lock of the week details what team I think has the best chance of winning their matchup. This would most likely be a good team that plays a bad team. The lock is also the official pick for NFL Survivor Pools, meaning we will not reuse a “lock.” My value pick of the week details a mid-tier team that has a good matchup. And finally, my high-risk, high-reward pick details a bad team that has a good matchup. It may be worth it to look at the NFL betting odds for these games and place some bets as well.

Teams Used:

  1. Baltimore Ravens
  2. Buffalo Bills
  3. Jacksonville Jaguars
  4. Kansas City Chiefs
  5. Detroit Lions
  6. Miami Dolphins
  7. Seattle Seahawks
  8. Philadelphia Eagles
  9. Cleveland Browns

Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants

With Daniel Jones and Tyrod Taylor injured, Tommy Devito gets the opportunity to travel to Dallas to take on that vaunted Cowboys defense. That does not bode well for the rookie, as the Cowboys are fourth in passing yards given up this year (1,433). Based off of that, one would think that the Giants need to run the ball. Which yes is true, until you realize that the Cowboys are 11th this year against the rush, giving up just 871 yards only seven touchdowns. This game really seems like a Micah Parsons game to me. We know that NFC East games are always spectacles, so it makes total sense to me that the best player on the Cowboys shows up to wreak havoc. Partner that with the bad Giants offensive line, and you have a recipe for disaster if you are a Giants fan, player or coach.

As for the offense, I would struggle to think that Dallas won’t be able to move the ball this week. Much like I believe with Parsons, I think the same thing can be said with Tony Pollard. Pollard has not totaled over 100 yards rushing since Week 3 and has not scored a touchdown since Week 1, when he scored twice. This seems like a really good game to get him going and “shake the rust off” before Dallas makes a push for the playoffs. Once Pollard gets going, CeeDee Lamb, Dak Prescott and Jake Ferguson should be able to perform well.

I would imagine that Dallas get up early in this game and the Giants will play from behind. I am not sure that the Cowboys will cover the 17-point spread, but I am confident that they win this game. Make Dallas your choice for Week 10 NFL survivor pool picks.

Buffalo Bills vs. Denver Broncos

This is probably a cop-out pick from me, but let’s call a spade a spade, the Buffalo Bills are not that good of a team right now. They are currently out of the playoff picture and are all of a sudden fighting to win the AFC East. Luckily for them, they get the Denver Broncos this week at home. While Josh Allen is playing hurt, the Broncos have given up 2,014 yards through the air this season. Allen should have no problem finding open targets this week and, if Stefon Diggs and Dalton Kincaid can work their magic in the middle of the field, Khalil Shakir should be open in those short drag and flat routes. That spells great for all of you Gabe Davis fantasy owners out there, because those safeties will start to cheat up and we know that Allen is looking to launch the ball downfield.

It seems like the Bills should have a good opportunity to establish their run game in this one. The Broncos are 31st in rushing yards given up this year, so I would also imagine that James Cook and Latavius Murray can somewhat expose that. With the Broncos traveling across the country, I would imagine that Buffalo can easily win this game and get back into the playoff picture.

New York Jets vs. Las Vegas Raiders

While yes, the Jets have been bad this year, I have no faith in the Raiders quarterbacks against a New York Jets defense, who may be the best in the league this year. That pass rush has been insatiable. If the Jets can limit Josh Jacobs (which I think that they can), Aidan O’Connell and Davante Adams are going to be in for a long afternoon. Antonio Pierce’s debut was awesome and it is no secret that the Raiders players have felt great to get rid of Josh McDaniels, but I think that sets up for a let-down game this week. To me, that was the Raiders Super Bowl last week, and kudos to them, they got it done. Now, they get a much better defense and one of the best running backs in the NFL against them.

I highly recommend not taking this game for your Week 10 NFL survivor pool picks, but if you are looking for a Hail Mary play, I think that you can do much worse than taking the Jets over the Raiders.
