Week 5 is almost over, but as always, there is a Monday Night Football game to watch tonight — a matchup between the Green Bay Packers and Las Vegas Raiders. Below, I’ll go over my top NFL DFS Showdown picks on DraftKings for the Packers vs Raiders MNF Week 5 game.

While these two teams aren’t necessarily flashy or exciting, it’s still quite interesting from a DFS perspective and could end up being action-packed. Jimmy Garoppolo is back for the Raiders while the Green Bay Packers‘ offense has some offensive weapons back to full health to help support Jordan Love.

It’s going to be a fun one regardless because well, it’s football, so let’s dive into how you tackle this week’s DraftKings NFL DFS Showdown fantasy football slate. I’ll highlight my favorite Captain’s plays and FLEX plays below.

NFL DFS Showdown DraftKings Picks for Packers vs Raiders MNF Week 5

Favorite Captain NFL DFS Picks

Josh Jacobs ($15,900)

While he wasn’t necessarily efficient in Week 4, Josh Jacobs still put up 27.9 fantasy points and saw a season-high 11 targets in the passing game. Aside from his high-volume day (only because rookie QB Aidan O’Connell leaned on him for check-downs), Jacobs has totaled at least 17 carries in three of four games this season. Like I said above, Jacobs wasn’t very efficient last week and frankly, this whole season, as he’s averaged just 2.7 yards per carry thus far.

Luckily for Jacobs, the Packers’ defense has allowed 155.3 rushing yards per game, good for third-worst in the league. Don’t expect another 25+ fantasy point performance with Jimmy Garoppolo ($9,400) back in the lineup but the matchup is there and, considering the Packers have dealt with injuries to their secondary and already rank 21st in defensive DVOA (4.9%), plenty of opportunities will be there for Jacobs to exploit.

Jordan Love ($14,700)

Jordan Love has had some rough “real-life” showings through four games but he’s getting the job done in fantasy — averaging 22.1 fantasy points per game (FPPG). He’s done a relatively good job of taking care of the ball and now has an upgraded and healthy offense around him. With both Christian Watson ($7,800) and Luke Musgrave ($5,200) active, Love will be able to move the ball through the air much easier and in turn, produce more fantasy points. On top of that, he’s found some production in the running game, having found the endzone in back-to-back games.

Although Las Vegas has allowed just 202.8 passing yards per game, its opponents are still finding ways to put points on the board — allowing 25.3 points per game through four games. The Raiders have been pretty abysmal on defense, ranking 28th in defensive DVOA (12.6%) and ninth in points allowed (101), so I’m not expecting Love and company to struggle to get down the field and produce ample fantasy points.

Favorite Value FLEX NFL DFS Picks

Jakobi Meyers ($7,000)

In Week 4 without Garoppolo, Jakobi Meyers didn’t see his normal target share and put up an underwhelming 5.3 fantasy points. With Jimmy G back behind center, Meyers is set to be a huge part of the offensive game plan against a Packers’ secondary that is riddled with injuries and should be primarily focused on Davante Adams ($11,200). In the other two games that Meyers played with Garoppolo, he was targeted 10 and 12 times, scoring 29.1 and 15.5 fantasy points, respectively.

Green Bay cornerback Jaire Alexander is listed as questionable and hasn’t played since Week 2, but if he’s back, I’d like Meyers even more because Adams will likely demand Alexander’s attention for most of the game. The truth is, outside of these two pass-catchers, nobody else on the Raiders is enticing enough to warrant a spot in your lineup, so take advantage of the $7K price tag.

AJ Dillon ($4,600)

AJ Dillon’s salary has decreased as the weeks have gone by, and rightfully so after averaging a miserable 4.3 fantasy points per game so far this season. Aaron Jones ($10,000) is listed as questionable but he went through the same practice routine that he did last week where he ended up suiting up, so Dillon obviously won’t be operating as the RB1 against a Raiders’ defense that has allowed over 90 total fantasy points to opposing running backs thus far. Nonetheless, he’s still totaled double-digit carries in all but one game so far and should be able to get it going a little bit this week, especially if Green Bay limits Jones in any way.

Dillon’s goalline threat is always there but he’s been incredibly inefficient so far this season and hasn’t even found the endzone yet. The Packers’ offensive line injuries haven’t helped the running game’s case for success and for just $4.6K, it might be worth taking the chance on some free touchdowns and ample value.

As always, let’s take a look at my favorite lineup for Monday’s DraftKings NFL DFS Showdown slate for the Packers vs. Raiders game.
