FlurrySports discusses the best budget Week 11 NFL DFS picks on DraftKings.
Week 10 was a top-heavy slate that offered very few values to jam into your lineups. This week, we have multiple solid RB plays in the $6000 or less range and a few solid options at QB and TE for the main slate. As always, unless specifically stated otherwise, these values are based on DraftKings DFS pricing.
Let’s take a look at the best value plays in each position on DraftKings for NFL Week 11.
NFL DFS Picks: Week 11 Budget Plays on DraftKings
Quarterback: Aaron Rodgers vs Bengals ($5400)
The Bengals continue to field one of the worst defenses in the last decade, and when these teams met earlier this year, the game ended in a 64-point shootout. Aaron Rodgers went for 249 yards and four passing touchdowns in that matchup for a very nice 24.6 DK points. At $5400, getting 70% of that performance will be enough for us to get into the conversation in cash games.
The Bengals are still giving it up to fantasy QBs, too, allowing 7% fantasy points over expectation to opposing signal callers this year. This game sports the highest Vegas total of the week, at 49, so points (and fantasy points) should be abundant. Fire up A-Rod as a safe option in NFL DFS picks, with potential to spike against a weak defense in a high-scoring environment.
Honorable Mentions: JJ McCarthy ($5200), Brock Purdy ($5800)
Running Back: Chase Brown at Steelers ($5700)
Going back to the well for our RB value play, Chase Brown has been underwhelming for fantasy managers who invested in him this summer until these two teams met a few weeks ago.
Since these two played in Week 7, Brown has rattled off back-to-back performances of 25.5 points and 19.2, catching 11 passes over that span after catching just 18 over the previous seven games. He has jumped up the board in our Opportunity Index as a result. Samaje Perine has already been ruled out for Sunday’s game, so Brown should see the vast majority of RB touches in a game that we have already stated as having one of the highest potentials for shootout territory on the slate.
The Steelers have been good against fantasy runners this year, but Brown was very efficient in their last meeting, averaging 9.8 yards per carry. If Brown can string together another good performance at this price, he should be very valuable for DFS players in Week 11.
Honorable Mentions: Aaron Jones ($5500), Jaylen Warren ($6100)
Wide Receiver: Parker Washington vs Chargers ($5100)
Cheap and likely to play 90%+ of snaps, that’s the whole theory here with Parker Washington, on the surface at least.
Washington has quietly been a really good performer when called upon this year for the Jags, posting back-to-back 17-point games on DraftKings following the Jaguars’ bye week. He was a bit inefficient last week, as he caught just three of his seven targets, but scored to turn in a serviceable day. The Chargers have been strong against fantasy wide receivers this year, but with Travis Hunter on IR, Washington will see a lot of snaps, and Jacksonville will need to throw to get a win. The game itself sports a modest total at just 44, but at just $5100, all we need from Washington is another 12-16 points to give us a chance at cashing.
Honorable Mentions: Romeo Doubs ($5000), Wan’Dale Robinson ($5500), Michael Wilson ($3800)
Wide Receiver: Oronde Gadsden at Jaguars ($4600)
Normally, I’d like a little more savings at the TE position to use the term “budget” but no one else this week outside of Trey McBride presents the same upside as Oronde Gadsden II. The Jaguars are the second-worst team in the NFL against tight ends (can you guess the first?), and the Chargers’ rookie has really come alive here in the last month.
Starting in Week 6, Gadsden has posted 12.8, 32.4, 18.7, and 11.8 before disappointing last week with 4.3 against the Steelers. Even with his lackluster total last week, Gadsden still saw six targets. We’ve talked about the game environment a bit already, so I won’t describe it a second time. Just know that the total is meh, but both teams will be looking for a key win in the AFC. When you add in Gadsden’s athletic profile, he could be the key to big totals and big winnings in this week’s NFL DFS slate.
D/ST | Week 11 NFL DFS Picks
Defense and special teams are the worst part about DFS, in my opinion. Nothing will make you feel worse than having a great lineup and halfway through the first half, a random defense has two touchdowns, completely icing your chances of winning big (looking at you, New York Jets).
Anyways, here is a quick rundown of the best defense values of Week 11:
- Titans vs Texans ($2300)
- Chargers at Jaguars ($2800)
