The Brooklyn Nets looks to be in total control in this series, after an easy Game 2 win. Can the Milwaukee Bucks turn the tide at home? This NBA betting preview for the Nets vs Bucks NBA Playoffs matchup will provide game info, betting trends, odds and a prediction for Game 3 of this series.

Eastern Conference Round 2 NBA Playoffs Game 3 (BKN leads 2-0)
Brooklyn Nets (48-22, 20-16 Away) vs. Milwaukee Bucks (46-26, 26-10 Home)

    Venue:

The Brooklyn Nets look borderline unstoppable in this matchup with the Milwaukee Bucks. Even without James Harden, the Nets took Game 2 of this series, 125-86. This game showcased just how lethal the Nets are on offense, as they shot a clean 50% from three-point range (21-42) and 52.1% from the field (49-94). Every Net saw playing time and all but one player scored during the game. Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant were only needed for 33 and 34 minutes, respectively, meaning they will have plenty of rest before Game 3.

For the Milwaukee Bucks, their stars are simply not producing. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton were a combined 15-35 from the field. It was no secret that the loss of Donte DiVincenzo took some defensive versatility away from the Bucks, but there is really no excuse for this team to be performing so poorly. The Bucks acquired Jrue Holiday in the offseason and P.J. Tucker midseason so they could be a more formidable team in the postseason. Head coach Mike Budenholzer may very well be coaching for his job at this point.

Nets vs Bucks NBA Betting Trends

    • Brooklyn is 11-1 against the spread (ATS) in its last 12 games.
    • Brooklyn is 4-2 ATS in its last six games against Milwaukee.
    • Milwaukee is 4-9 ATS in its last 13 games.
    • The total has gone UNDER in four of Milwaukee’s last six games.

    Nets vs Bucks Prediction

This NBA prediction uses NumberFire’s probability model. They give Milwaukee a 75.7% chance to win Game 3 of this NBA Playoffs matchup.

In my opinion? That is ridiculous. I really don’t see how the Bucks can manage a Game 3 victory after getting absolutely thumped the way they did.
