Congratulations to Milwaukee Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer. The man finally figured out how to play his starting five more than 40 minutes in a playoff game. As much as Budenholzer likes to say the Bucks are a “deep team,” the fact is that they are not. And that is fine, but it is important to stop pretending to be something you are not. The Bucks played Giannis Antetokounmpo 43 minutes, Jrue Holiday 46 minutes and Khris Middleton 44 minutes in the game. Hopefully Antetokounmpo, Holiday and Middleton can do it again today.
For the Nets, the absence of James Harden seemed to have caught up with them. Harden plays a huge role in the success of the Nets, as he alleviates his teammates for long stretches at a time with his ability to score at will in isolation. Unfortunately, he is ruled out again today. If the Nets can steal this game on the road, don’t expect Harden in Game 5. If the Bucks Game 4 and even the series, Harden may come back early.
