    Neemias Queta NBA Draft Profile

    Strengths

After slipping off of most draft boards following a disappointing sophomore season, some believe Neemias Queta is a borderline First Round talent in the 2021 NBA Draft. He averaged a double-double this past season at Utah State and showed out in his lone NCAA Tournament game. Queta has excellent size and length. Such physical attributes are what make him such a playmaker at the defensive end. He was a shot-blocking machine in college and has the athleticism to chase down fast breaks from behind. He constantly hustles and his basketball skills are rare for a player of his size.

    Weaknesses

Queta’s mobility is cause for concern heading into the 2021 NBA Draft. While his highlights show the speed and athleticism he possesses in the open floor, his footwork in the post is not great. He also tends to be heavy-footed on defense. His lack of agility could be exploited at the NBA level. On top of that, raw offensive skills lead some to believe that Queta will be more of a long-term project at the professional level.
