Every week, I will be posting my Mid Major Top-25 highlighting the top 25 teams from non-power conferences. These rankings exclude the A10, AAC and WCC. Also included each week will be a breakdown of all notable mid major notes around the country. Highlighted teams are in bold.

Mid Major Notes
- Milwaukee has had a weird season and an even weirder week, as they got blown out by Belmont, but defeated Loyola Chicago, who has been the hottest mid major team as of late.
- Western Kentucky falls one point short of beating Wisconsin and three short of beating Belmont for a bad turn of events for the Hilltoppers.
- Boise State and Grand Canyon, two very stellar mid major teams needed double overtime to settle a winner. That winner was Boise State. However, they then lost to SMU in a cold game for the Broncos.
- Portland State finally takes a loss after their big win streak, falling to Oregon by 11.
- South Dakota State fall in double OT to Colorado.
- Oakland gives #2 MSU a real scare, as the Golden Grizzles star Kendrick Nunn shot the lights out in the new Little Caesars Arena, and they easily took care of Towson at home, as Nunn lit it up again.
- SF Austin has just one loss and the year, and now they have a great win over LSU by 1.
- Wright State is quietly sitting as the 3rd-best team in the Horizon League, and they picked up their best win on the year beating Toledo by 11.
- Central Michigan finally suffers their second loss, to Southern Utah after their impressive win streak.
- Vermont falls out of the mid major top-25 with yet another loss, this time to St. Bonaventure. If you followed the Mid Major Top-25, you should know that Vermont was ranked #1 to start the year.
- Charleston was flying under the radar on a win streak, but they fell to Rhode Island by six.
- Wagner had just one loss coming, but they fell to Rider in overtime, but they still has clear control over the Northeast Conference. Lamar also had just one loss until they fell to Southern Illinois. Both Wagner and Lamar have dropped out of the Mid Major Top-25.
- UNI drops a game to Iowa State to lose the momentum they built up.
- Georgia Southern who has been red hot fell to CSU Bakersfield in a very competitive game.
- Middle Tennessee drops from the #1 spot after a short stay at the top, as they fell to Auburn.
- New Mexico State is firing on all cylinders as they upset Illinois in another solid win.
- Marshall beat Ohio in overtime, and they have just three losses as they sit towards the top of the C-USA.
- FGCU is struggling hard, losing to Oral Roberts by 19. Oral Roberts lost to a D2 school, so this loss really hurts FGCU. They also fell to FIU.
- UMBC takes out Northern Kentucky in an intriguing basketball game as they look to make a name for themselves in the American East behind Vermont and Albany.
- Georgia State quietly picks up a great win over red hot Umass. GSU is 8-4 and towards the top of the stacked Sun Belt Conference.
- Albany loses to Louisville by only two.
- And lastly, WOFFORD UPSET #5 AND THE DEFENDING CHAMPS, NORTH CAROLINA.
