NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship Prediction and 2023 Schedule

Cole Custer – #00 (+450)

Stone Cold Custer finds his way into the Final Four for the NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship. After mayhem on the final lap of the Martinsville race, Custer was able to point his way in the Championship round. Custer’s year includes two wins, 13 Top-5s, 20 Top-10s and two DNFs in the 32 races. Custer has reached the Championship Four before, but that was before the move out west to Phoenix hosting the Championship Race.

In Custer’s seven starts at Phoenix Raceway, Custer has two Top 5s, five Top-10s and an average finish of 8.9. Can Cole Custer be the shining spot for Stewart-Haas Racing this year after a miserable year for the team?

Sam Mayer – #1 (+700)

Sam Mayer surprised a lot of people this year. Sam Mayer went from potentially being replaced in the #1 car next season to rocketing to four wins and making it to the Championship Four. Alongside his four wins, Mayer earned 12 Top-5s, 18 Top-10s and DNFd seven times. Mayer has been boom-or-bust in his car this year. In his four starts at Phoenix, Mayer has not finished in the top 10 and has an average finish of 20th. Mayer has turned how people have thought about him this season, but can he do it again by winning the title?

Justin Allgaier – #7 (+350)

The longest-active Junior Motorsports driver has found his way into another Championship Four. Allgaier won the race at Martinsville in a photo finish over Sheldon Creed to advance. Allgaier’s win at Martinsville gave him four wins on the year to go along with his 14 Top-5s and 19 Top-10s with four DNFs. Allgaier has been in this spot before; this is now his fifth time in the Championship Four. In Allgaier’s 26 starts at Phoenix, he has won twice, nine Top-5s and 17 Top-10s. Allgaier is 37 and may not have many years left to do this. Can he finally get it done this time around?

John Hunter Nemechek – #20 (+150)

John Hunter Nemechek was able to point his way into the final round before the end of the race of Martinsville. The driver of the 20 has accumulated seven wins, 17 Top-5s, 24 Top-10s and three DNFs on the year so far. In his six starts at Phoenix Raceway, Nemechek has two Top-5s, six Top-10s with a 6.5 average finish. JHN has signed a deal to take over the #42 car for Legacy Motor Club in the Cup Series next season. Can John Hunter Nemechek give Joe Gibbs Racing a NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship trophy before the move to the Cup Series?
