This weekend, NASCAR Cup Series visits the Peach State for the first time this season. Atlanta Motor Speedway will play host to the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500. The 1.54-mile track will make the drivers work for their positions as the tires will wear quickly. Pit stops will also be of the utmost importance given the degree of tire wear that will take place over the course of the 500-mile race. If you want to win money playing NASCAR DFS this week, you had better pick guys who can take care of their tires.

FanDuel NASCAR DFS Overview

In this NASCAR Cup Series DFS column, I will be using FanDuel prices and scoring. Their scoring includes the following:

  • .1 points for leading a lap
  • .1 points for completing a lap
  • Add/subtract a point based on the difference in a driver’s finishing position relative to their starting position
  • Points based on where the driver finishes

Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 Drivers to Consider

Kevin Harvick ($14,000)

Kevin Harvick is expensive in NASCAR DFS this week, but he will be worth it in the end. He is one of the best to ever drive at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Harvick knows how to get to the front and lead laps here. He has two wins in the last three races at Atlanta and strong numbers at the track overall. Put Harvick in your lineup.

Brad Keselowski ($13,000)

If you don’t want to take Harvick, Brad Keselowski is the next best choice in NASCAR DFS this week. Keselowski has won two of the last four races at Atlanta. If Harvick doesn’t take control of this race early, it will be BK. Choose which one you think will do it better and run with him on Sunday. You can also look to take some high-risk chances with cheaper guys to get them both in your lineup.

Erik Jones ($6,500)

Erik Jones did not have a great start to the season. He did seem to turn a corner at Las Vegas, finishing in the top-10. Jones is a guy who should get at least a top-15 finish this Sunday in Atlanta. Furthermore, he is priced pretty cheap and a good NASCAR DFS flier option for the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500.

Kurt Busch ($9,000)

Kurt Busch has had a pretty quiet season so far. That could very well change this Sunday at a track where he has the goods to be a top-10 car. Kurt has an average finish of 6.9 at Atlanta Motor Speedway so he has been fantastic here throughout his career. The No. 1 car should be able to do well for you in NASCAR DFS this week.

Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 Drivers to Avoid

Kyle Larson ($12,500)

Kyle Larson has been great thus far in 2021, but I just don’t trust him at Atlanta. An average finish of 13.8 at the track is not worth his FanDuel NASCAR DFS price. I am on “Team Anti-Larson” this week in the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500.

Ryan Blaney ($10,500)

Ryan Blaney does not have the same stats as his Penske teammates do at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Blaney has an average finish of just 17th at this track and at his current NASCAR DFS price, I would like someone who can finish higher than that. Avoid Blaney this week.

Bubba Wallace ($6,000)

Okay, I am taking the low hanging fruit once again. Aside from the fact the 23XI Racing team is still working out the kinks in their inaugural season, Bubba’s Atlanta stats just aren’t that great. His previous three starts here have resulted in him having an average finish of 27th. The combination of his history at the track and a new team is not a good one for NASCAR DFS picks.

Tyler Reddick ($7,500)

For the second week in a row, I am going against the driver who I have been high on in the majority of races this season. The high line doesn’t usually fare well at this track and so Tyler Reddick’s greatest advantage is gone. In his only previous NASCAR Cup Series start at Atlanta, he finished 16th. I want to see more from him on the rough surface before I take him at this track.
