Najee Harris, despite being a rookie in a division where hard-nosed defense is a point of pride, was one of the most consistently reliable running backs in the NFL last season. Things went poorly in a few games, and astoundingly well in a few others. In the middle of those extremes, though, was a great Najee Harris fantasy football producer.
As a workhorse back with a knack for catching the ball, it cannot be understated how important Harris is to this Pittsburgh Steelers team, and potentially to your fantasy roster. Despite playing with a new QB this season, we expect bigger and better things from Harris. He is primed for domination and can use this sophomore season to establish himself as the best and most effective weapon in the AFC North.
Let’s discuss the Najee Harris fantasy football outlook for 2022, including his stats from 2021 and give our buy or sell decision based on his current average draft position (ADP).

Najee Harris Fantasy Outlook 2022
Our Najee Harris fantasy outlook for 2022 is extremely positive. During his rookie year, he showed he belonged and could excel both on the ground and through the air. His ability to catch the ball was on display all last season, highlighted by 14 receptions on 19 targets in just his third NFL game ever. As we know, there are questions under center in Pittsburgh this season. Luckily for Najee Harris fantasy owners and the man himself, he will be an easy option, bailout or otherwise, for any QB who starts.
The Steelers’ wide receiver group is too good for opposing defenses not to give them respect, regardless of who may be throwing the ball. This is another advantage for Harris, who is going to wrangle in a ton of catches. Even if a large number of them don’t result in major yardage, those receptions pile up quickly and almost certainly give Harris a double-digit fantasy point floor.
Beyond catching the ball, he is going to play a huge role on the ground. Harris finished his rookie season as the RB3 in PPR scoring, but he dropped just one spot to RB4 in standard scoring leagues. This proves his worth in any style of fantasy and emphasizes his skill and effectiveness in rushing the ball.
Harris needs an extraordinary season for the Steelers to be competitive. We believe he will rise to the challenge and end up as one of the most valuable fantasy football assets in the entire league this season.

Should I Draft Najee Harris For Fantasy Football?
The Najee Harris fantasy football ADP was taken from Fantasy Football Calculator for PPR scoring on August 31st and sees Harris taken with the seventh (1.07) pick and the fifth RB drafted. At this ADP, he is an absolute must-draft. If you take a look at the calculator tool linked above, eight of the top 11 picks make it pretty obvious that running backs are the hottest commodity in fantasy football right now. Whether you’re in a PPR or standard league, expect RBs to go flying off the board immediately.
If you are lucky enough to have Harris still available at his current ADP, we recommend you pounce on him. It is entirely likely he gets drafted ahead of some guys above him in ADP. We believe he could end up a top-five scorer in all of fantasy football. He is an absolute 100% buy at this ADP, with arguments to be made he’s worthy of a pick anywhere outside the top three.
