Canada’s national men’s curling tournament, the Montana’s Brier, is scheduled to take place in Regina, Saskatchewan, from March 1–10, 2024, at the Brandt Centre. The victorious team will compete for Canada at the KSS Sports Complex in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, in the 2024 World Men’s Curling Championship. This will be the first Brier sponsored by Montana’s Barbeque & Bar.

The Season of Champions moves on to Regina for the 2024 Montana’s Brier, following an unforgettable visit to Calgary for the Scotties Tournament of Hearts.
The Canadian men’s curling championship was held in Saskatchewan’s capital for the sixth time and for the first time since 2018 when Brad Gushue won the second of his five Brier Tankards. Many people from Saskatchewan have a deep love for curling.
As with previous years, there are a number of elite competitors and captivating narratives at the 2024 Brier, which will hold the attention of spectators and viewers alike for the whole ten-day competition.

Montana’s Brier Teams Preview
Eighteen teams in all will be eligible to compete in the 2024 Brier. To choose a representative for each province or territory, playdowns will be held by the fourteen curling member associations in Canada. Team Brad Gushue, who won the Tim Hortons Brier in 2023 for the second time in a row, represents Team Canada.
The Brendan Bottcher and Matt Dunstone rinks immediately pre-qualified for the 2024 Brier field based on their 2022–23 Canadian Team Ranking Standings, which meant they avoided the provincial qualifiers due to a change in the qualification procedure. Kevin Koe, the highest non-qualified team on the 2023–24 CTRS standings after provincial and territory playdowns, entered the competition as the fourth qualifying team.

Wild card selection
The top teams in the Canadian Team Ranking System (CTRS) rankings that did not win their provincial or territorial championship were previously awarded three wild card places. Curling Canada modified the qualifying structure for the Brier this year, requiring the top two teams from the CTRS the year before to qualify automatically for a pre-qualification place. The team that does not win its provincial/territorial title but has the best CTRS ranking will receive the last slot.
