After months of delay and some uncomfortable negotiations, the MLB return is official. However, the baseball we see on Opening Day may look a little different, due to the shortened 60-game schedule and some players opting to sit out.
Fans and sports bettors alike are excited to see the real time MLB odds for Week 1, knowing the 2020 MLB season is indeed on the horizon.
The MLB season opens with the New York Yankees heading to the nation’s capital to face the reigning World Series Champions, the Washington Nationals. The Yankees come into the game as -128 favorites over the champs, and sharp money is slightly in favor of them as well. While the Yankees are still undecided on a starting pitcher, it will be Max Scherzer on the mound for the Nationals. The last time we saw him was Game 7 of the World Series.
In the second game of Opening Day, we head to the west coast. The Los Angeles Dodgers will host the rival San Francisco Giants, with the Giants being -215 favorites. This rivalry has a ton of history, dating back to 1890. The Giants currently lead the all-time series, 1,256-1,233-17.
