Max Iheanachor Scouting Report
Strengths
Max Iheanachor transitioned from playing basketball, and it shows. He’s extremely athletic overall, with all motions being natural and smooth. When paired with his size, there is no doubt that his potential is very high.
The footwork showcased by Iheanachor is top-level, and he has tremendous quickness and timing to his game as well. When he is played well, his highlights can rival anyone in the class. The key will be to do it on a more consistent basis.
Weaknesses
Iheanachor started playing football late, and it shows. While that’s not all bad, he will need tough coaching and patience with his game. His overall recognition is slow at best, but that gets better with more reps and film work. When engaging with defenders, he keeps his hands wide, which will undoubtedly lead to penalties. Iheanachor needs to play with a lower pad level overall, and when he works his way to the second level, he needs to finish blocks instead of looking like he’s playing tag.
