Malik Willis Draft Profile
Strengths
Malik Willis combines his elite rushing talent and rocket arm to open up the field and create monster plays. Willis is able to work through his progressions when the protection is there and has some impressive escapability and elusiveness to extend plays. Not only will he pick up consistent yardage with his legs, but he can light up opposing secondaries with his deep ball.
Weaknesses
Although Willis was one of the most electrifying college players to watch during the 2021 season, there is no guarantee his skillset will translate into a finished product that is ready to compete at the professional level. He lacks true mechanical skills that lead to inconsistencies such as accuracy, touch or timing. Even if Willis struggles to find his footing in the passing game, he has the upside to put up impressive rushing numbers similar to Lamar Jackson and other mobile quarterbacks.
