Mac Jones Highlights

Mac Jones Draft Profile

Strengths

Mac Jones is a competitor who seamlessly ran one of the greatest offenses in college football history. He reads the defenses like an NFL quarterback and possesses the ability to make anticipatory throws. Jones was the most accurate quarterback in the country at throws within 10 yards. He also has great pocket presence, standing calm in the pocket.

Weaknesses

While he is calm in the pocket, he doesn’t appear to have the ability to tuck it and pick up a couple yards. Jones also doesn’t have the arm talent that the rest of the projected first-round quarterbacks have. While he was impressive in 2020, he only has one year of tape. He also played on a stacked team, with 600 more yards to open receivers than the next quarterback, per PFF. His receivers made playing quarterback easy.
