Van Ness is an exceptional power rusher who generated 46 pressures last season. His bull rush is one of the best in this class. While Van Ness excelled as a pass rusher, he also defended the run well, proving he can be an every-down player for just about any defensive system in the NFL.

Weaknesses

Due to Iowa’s philosophy of starting and playing older players, Van Ness was never a full-time starter. However, this was an Iowa problem and not a Luka Van Ness issue. He also relies too much on his bull rush. Van Ness will need to add more moves at the next level.
