The Tigers have won three of their last four games, but they aren’t in the dance just yet. A road win against an elite team like Kentucky would all but assure them a place at the table at this point. Coming off of a tough loss to unranked South Carolina, the Tigers have three of their last four games come against ranked opponents. The Tigers run through forward Tari Eason who leads LSU in scoring with just under 17 points per game. If the other guys on the team can step up in support, LSU’s offense can become lethal.
Kentucky has continued their hot streak although they did slip up on the road against Tennessee this past week. They’re a hard team to stop and the play of forward Oscar Tshiebwe is a big reason why. Tshiebwe is widely believed to be one of the favorites for the National Player of the Year award and it’s easy to see why as he averages over 16 points and 15 rebounds a game. If he can get Eason into foul trouble for LSU, this game could get out of hand rather quickly.
