Taking a look at the best low-owned fantasy football WR options to play in Week 2, including the New York Giants’ Wan’Dale Robinson.
Once again, fantasy players saw another Week 1 where the scoring got a little wonky and some good players got injured. You may already be looking for either some depth at the wide receiver position or some players that you can start at the FLEX position in a pinch. Usually, the first few weeks are the most important to land a player on waivers, as often the “breakout” fantasy football WRs each year are streamer picks around this time.
Using information that we learned last week, we can get an idea of which wide receivers owned in under 60% of ESPN fantasy leagues have the best matchups to be included among our Week 2 WR fantasy football streamers! When you’re done, check out our Week 2 fantasy football rankings!
Low-Owned Fantasy Football WR Streaming Options Week 2
Wan’Dale Robinson at Dallas Cowboys (30.9% Owned)
While he may never blow fantasy owners away with his output, Wan’Dale Robinson is a hell of a football player. After finishing last year with just under 100 receptions, he got this year’s campaign off to a good start against the Washington Commanders. In a game where not much went right, Robinson brought in six of his eight targets for 55 yards.
No matter who has been at quarterback for the New York Giants over the past few years, Robinson has been one of their favorite safety valves. He did the same for Russell Wilson in Week 1 and will likely do the same in a tough road matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. The Giants will likely find themselves in a shootout with the Dallas Cowboys, and they will likely be trailing most of the time. As a result, expect Robinson to pick up plenty of cheap receptions underneath, making him an interesting low-owned fantasy football WR for Week 2.
Calvin Austin III vs. Seattle Seahawks (7.7% Owned)
While the performance of Aaron Rodgers certainly stole headlines this past week, the play of Calvin Austin III shouldn’t be allowed to fly under the radar. While he only had four catches on the day, he racked up 70 receiving yards and a touchdown. Everybody knows that Aaron Rodgers is the type of guy you have to “earn” trust from. If he trusts you, he’ll go to you often and will not stop until you give him a reason to. That is why it speaks volumes that he took multiple shots to Austin in big situations.
You could argue that Austin played the cleanest game out of all the Pittsburgh receivers in Week 1. The Seattle Seahawks do provide a different challenge than the New York Jets, but that shouldn’t change too much with Austin having the full trust of Aaron Rodgers. The veteran doesn’t throw up deep back-shoulder fades to anyone on third down, so the fact that these two are clearly on the same page is a great sign for Austin going forward as a fantasy football WR. With the Seahawks likely doing whatever they can to stop DK Metcalf from having a trademark “revenge” game, look for Calvin Austin III to reap the rewards.

Cedric Tillman at Baltimore Ravens (44.7% Owned)
In a game where the Cincinnati Bengals were held to single-digit yards in the second half, the Cleveland Browns still found a way to lose. One of the silver linings from this game, however, was the continued success of wide receiver Cedric Tillman. The young fantasy football WR was a bit of a breakout success last season in the middle of the year, and he has gotten this season off to a great start.
Tillman tied Jerry Jeudy in targets, at eight, and hauled in five receptions for 52 yards and a touchdown. A concussion late last year ended a promising campaign early, and the severity even brought some of this season into question. With that in mind, he’s clearly been given a clean bill of health and is a solid low-end FLEX option when he is. With the Baltimore Ravens due up and the Browns likely having to pass most of the game to stay in it, Tillman should see plenty of targets.
