The 2023 season is showing its fair share of surprises. One of the most unexpected surprises has been the bright spots of the Rams wide receiver corps. Following the unfortunate news of Cooper Kupp heading to injured reserve, newcomer Puka Nacua and third-year WR Tutu Atwell have emerged as fantasy football assets.

Lock in Tutu Atwell For Fantasy Football Week 4

As we all know, Puka Nacua, currently ranked as WR6 this season, has some pretty outrageous stats. However, not to be overshadowed, Tutu Atwell has been the fantasy football WR14 in PPR scoring entering this week. Both Atwell and Nacua are among a group of 18 wide receivers who have averaged 16.5 points while playing multiple games this season. Tutu Atwell is starting to make a strong case to be started in fantasy leagues. He is ranked 15th in the league in terms of targets among wide receivers. Atwell has received at least eight targets in each game this season, even out-targeting Puka Nacua last week.

Adding more intrigue to Tutu Atwell’s fantasy outlook is the trend of the Colts’ defense against wide receivers. They have allowed a total of six wide receivers who were targeted at least seven times this season, and all six of them managed to score 13 or more points in PPR leagues. Notably, four of these six wide receivers also scored a touchdown. Tutu Atwell is the lone Rams wide receiver to score a touchdown this season, and he came even close to scoring two last week.

Considering the favorable matchup at hand, with the Colts allowing the seventh-most points to wide receivers, and Tutu Atwell’s remarkable consistency with eight targets per game, he appears to be on the verge of another breakout performance on Sunday. This makes him a great option this week as either a WR2 or a flex play.
