Kansas vs Arkansas Prediction | March Madness Expert Picks and Bracketology

As the defending national champs and one of the most storied college basketball programs in the country, Kansas’ success in the NCAA Tournament is undeniable. The Jayhawks will have to contend with an Arkansas program that has also had its fair share of success in recent years. Under Eric Musselman, the Razorbacks have reached the Elite 8 in each of the last two seasons.

As expected, Kansas destroyed Howard in the First Round while Arkansas largely dictated terms against Illinois. There will be talent all across the floor on both sides in Saturday’s matchup, and the March Madness odds and expert picks are expecting a close game.

The Big 12 Conference has widely been considered to be the best league in the country this year. To the Razorbacks’ credit, they battled Baylor to a three-point loss on the road during the regular season. Arkansas has an electric backcourt led by Ricky Council IV and Anthony Black. It’s no secret that strong guard play can go a long way in the month of March.

While Kansas also has some talented guards, the offense revolves around forward, Jalen Wilson. The last thing the Jayhawks can afford is to become overly reliant on one or two players against a top-30 adjusted defense.

While the betting public has been more than willing to lay the points with the 1-seed, the point spread is suspiciously short given the perception of these two teams. Clearly, the bookmakers are comfortable with needing a Razorbacks cover. As such, backing the underdog would appear to be the best option in this spot.

Our official college basketball betting Kansas vs Arkansas prediction will be ARKANSAS COVERS at BetUS.

For what it’s worth, the ESPN Matchup Predictor gives Kansas a 59.6% chance to win.

Bet: Arkansas +3.5 (-110 at BetUS Sportsbook)
