When is the 2025 NFL Draft?
The 2025 NFL Draft kicks off on Thursday, April 24, beginning at 8 p.m. ET. The draft will take place in Green Bay, WI, which brings plenty of potential challenges. Only Round 1 will take place on Thursday. Rounds 2-3 will take place on April 25th, with the remaining four rounds wrapping up on Sunday, April 26th. There will be 257 players selected across the seven rounds, with many more getting phone calls immediately afterward.

Strengths
Kaleb Johnson is one of the more intriguing prospects in this year’s NFL Draft, given his production last season as well as his ideal size for runner in the NFL. With his ideal size, Johnson brings great athleticism when searching for and hitting holes. After hitting holes, Johnson has shown an ability to shake off defenders in the second level when breaking long runs. What really stands out about Johnson, though, is his patience. He won’t run into the backs of his blockers. Rather, he’ll keep his feet chopping while waiting for something to open up.
Weaknesses
While the patience is great, if Johnson stops his feet, he has a tendency to take a long time to get back to speed. Johnson will need to get lower and run more as a bruiser. Given his size, it looks like he runs too upright. His lower-leg balance will need to improve to make NFL-level cuts when getting around defenders in the backfield. He does not provide much for third-down situations, as he needs to recognize and pick up blitzers more effectively.
