It has been disappointing to be a Julio Jones fantasy owner this season. Along with the overall struggles of the Atlanta Falcons, Julio Jones injury news has also been constant.

On Wednesday, interim head coach Raheem Morris told reporters that Julio is week-to-week. This injury update certainly does not bode well for his NFL Week 15 status.

Julio Jones Injury Update

Julio has battled a number of injuries this season. The longest lingering issue has continued to be his hamstring, which is the injury he is listed as week-to-week for. If we quickly want to diagnose what these injury tags mean, day-to-day would mean the player’s return date is under two weeks for sure, and typically be ready to go in under seven days. Week-to-week means a multi-week injury.

Julio being week-to-week right now basically ensures he will miss Week 15. Given the time of year and how little the Falcons have to play for, it would not be overly surprising to see Atlanta shut him down.

The star receiver has played a total of nine games this season. Julio has totaled 51 receptions for 771 yards and three touchdowns. Over a full 16-game season, this extrapolates to over 90 receptions and 1,300 yards. So, while Julio is nowhere near washed, his health is certainly an issue this season.

Julio fantasy owners should expect him out for Week 15, improving the outlook of Russell Gage, directly.
