When is the 2025 NFL Draft?
The 2025 NFL Draft kicks off on Thursday, April 24, beginning at 8 p.m. ET. The draft will take place in Green Bay, WI, which brings plenty of potential challenges. Only Round 1 will take place on Thursday. Rounds 2-3 will take place on April 25th, with the remaining four rounds wrapping up on Sunday, April 26th. There will be 257 players selected across the seven rounds, with many more getting phone calls immediately afterward.

Strengths
Josh Simmons has experience playing at both tackle spots in college, and his skills should give him the ability to play on either end for his new team as well. Outside of his hands, Simmons showcases great technique, low pads, and quick feet. His mirror in pass protection is impressive for someone of his size. Simmons also finishes plays, driving opponents into the turf if the whistle hasn’t been blown.
Weaknesses
As previously mentioned, his hand technique needs work. He needs to have his hands up and punch opponents instead of catching them. Simmons also needs to showcase more pop and power in the running game.
The unknown with Simmons is health, as he is coming off a torn ACL back in October.
