After a porous rookie year, Josh Allen has progressively gotten better and is entering his fifth season under center as the franchise quarterback for the Buffalo Bills. Not only has Allen turned into a franchise guy, but the Josh Allen fantasy football value is sky-high.

With a three-point lead, Mahomes found holes in the Bills’ secondary, allowed Butker to tie the game, and eventually within a couple of minutes the game was. over. Allen never had a chance to save a game where he played phenomenally down the stretch.

Josh Allen had a phenomenal fantasy season last year. After two decent games where he had around 15 fantasy points, he went out and performed. In half of the remaining games, he had over 20 fantasy points and in two of the eight he didn’t, he had 19, which is still very good. The rest included a few duds, but everyone is bound for them. No one can be perfect. This kind of season is reflected in his draft stock. According to Fantasy Football Calculator, Allen is set to go at 2.08 in 12-team leagues which is 20th overall.
Allen is an absolute gunslinger of a QB. He possesses some of the best arm strength in the game and some incredible accuracy. We saw it last year when he was able to link up with Gabriel Davis for four touchdowns, a playoff first, and multiple times other times with Stefon Diggs who with Allen is one of the best QB-WR duos in all of football.
Josh Allen is about to run ramped through the NFL. He was devastated last year to not have a chance in OT, a year where he thought the Bills had the team to win a Super Bowl. Allen has plenty of weapons in the receiving game to help. We all know he loves Diggs. While questions may remain behind him, there really shouldn’t be cause for concern. At WR2 and WR3, Allen will have Davis and Isaiah McKenzie — two guys who haven’t been relevant before but guys Allen has had chemistry with before. At TE, he will have Dawson Knox, who exploded last year into a vital piece on many teams in fantasy because of his connection and production with Allen.

Should I Draft Josh Allen for Fantasy Football?
As mentioned earlier, Allen is going 20th overall. That’s extremely high for a QB. It is also insanely risky, and you will be playing catchup. You would be drafting a QB at a time when top receivers are on the board and top-backs are still available. Leonard Fournette, Tyreek Hill and Michael Pittman are all still on the table and will have great seasons in fantasy. Others will most likely take QBs later. That makes it so that when they are taking QBs, you’re taking lower-end WR1s and WR2s along with questionable fantasy running backs who most likely will warm the fantasy bench.
While the Josh Allen fantasy football outlook is high, there are plenty of other QBs taken later that will also be top producers.
