Jordyn Tyson Scouting Report
Strengths
Mentored by Hines Ward has paid off, as Jordan Tyson is a great all-around wide receiver who can line up anywhere. He is a smooth athlete, but he possesses quickness and burst as well. Tyson attacks the ball in the air on contested throws, but he has shown that he can create separation with his routes as well. At 6-2, he also has the size to really compete with anyone at the next level, and you can’t teach height.
Along with being a talented receiver, Tyson is also a very willing blocker. This is a mentality that was surely cultivated by Ward.
Weaknesses
Tyson has shown multiple instances of concentration drops, which will likely remain an issue early in his career. Coupled with this, he can get impatient on his routes.
While he has quickness, his overall speed is a bit lacking. Tyson also has an injury history, and this pattern suggests he will struggle to play a full season. He is a tough-minded player who will play through some injuries, however.
