Of the four realigned divisions that comprise this year’s NHL Playoffs bracket, the North Division has certainly turned out to be the whackiest. The Montreal Canadiens finished just three games over .500 in the regular season. Yet, after rallying from a 3-1 First Round series deficit, the Canadiens are now up 3-0 in this North Division Finals matchup against the Winnipeg Jets. Montreal will aim to finish off a stunning sweep on Monday night. This NHL betting preview for the Jets vs Canadiens NHL Playoffs matchup will provide game info, betting trends, odds and a prediction for Game 4 of this series.

Winnipeg Jets vs Montreal Canadiens Game Info | NHL Playoffs

NHL North Division Finals NHL Playoffs Game 4 (Series tied 2-2)
Winnipeg Jets (63 pts, 30-23-3, 17-10-1 Away) vs. Montreal Canadiens (59 pts, 24-21-11, 13-11-4 Home)
Date:
Monday, June 7, 2021
Start Time: 8 p.m. EST
Venue: The Bell Centre — Montreal, QC

Tonight will be a quick turnaround for both teams after Game 3 was held Sunday evening. It was far from the best performance we have seen from Jets goalie Connor Hellebuyck. He surrendered goals on four of the 32 shots he faced in what ultimately turned out to be a 5-1 loss. Now, Winnipeg faces the nearly impossible task of needing to win four consecutive games in order to advance. The NHL betting odds have been flipped on their head for this series as well. The Jets now find themselves as road underdogs ahead of Game 4. From the very beginning of this series when Mark Scheifele got suspended, things have been out of sorts for the Jets.

Don’t look now but the Canadiens are the hottest team in hockey. Joel Armia came up huge in Game 3 on Sunday, scoring a pair of goals and dishing an assist for good measure. Of course, we have seen Montreal ride hot goaltending deep into the playoff before as NHL betting underdogs. Even at the age of 33, Carey Price is still making it look easy. He stopped 26 of the 27 shots he faced on Sunday to get the win. The Habs have now won six straight games overall. They’ll look to return the favor to the Jets tonight and finish off a four-game sweep. It was just one round ago that Winnipeg swept the Edmonton Oilers out of the NHL Playoffs.
