The 2021 NFL Draft is quickly approaching, with the first round kicking off on April 29th. Pro days, workouts and mocks drafts will dominate headlines from now until then, as teams continue with their scouting behind the scenes. One of the early-round linebacker prospects entering the draft is Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah out of Notre Dame.
Let’s take a look at the full Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah NFL Draft profile, including stats, highlights and projection.
Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah
Position: Linebacker
Height: 6’1″
Weight: 215 lbs
Age: 21
College: Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Tackles: 62
TFLs: 11
Sacks: 1.5
FFs: 3
INTs: 1
Passes Defensed: 3
Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah has incredible smooth hips, gliding around the field. He is great in coverage as a result, often resembling a slot cornerback in college, making him a strong candidate for that “star” or nickel role in the NFL. Owusu-Koramoah also has a great short area burst, and he knows how to get skinny and maneuver in the trenches.
Owusu-Koramoah is very small for the linebacker position. He is not going to be a player to shed blocks or thrive between the tackles. While he plays very fast, Owusu-Koramoah also has the tendency to overrun plays.
All 2021 NFL Draft Projections are taken from the latest CBS NFL Mock Draft by Ryan Wilson.
Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah is currently projected to be drafted by the Miami Dolphins at No. 36 overall.
