When is the 2025 NFL Draft?
The 2025 NFL Draft kicks off on Thursday, April 24, beginning at 8 p.m. ET. The draft will take place in Green Bay, WI, which brings plenty of potential challenges. Only Round 1 will take place on Thursday. Rounds 2-3 will take place on April 25th, with the remaining four rounds wrapping up on Sunday, April 26th. There will be 257 players selected across the seven rounds, with many more getting phone calls immediately afterward.
Jayden Higgins Scouting Profile
Strengths
The biggest strength of Higgins is clearly his size and catch radius. At 6-4 with a 39-inch vertical jump, Higgins is a huge target that would be easy for any quarterback to get the ball to. He runs good routes and uses his size to bully cornerbacks when needed. He has a knack for tracking the deep balls and has plenty of experience running effective fade routes.
Weaknesses
The biggest knock on Higgins’ game is that he isn’t the most agile and is slower than most receivers at stopping, starting and making cuts in the field. While he does a good job getting past cornerbacks off the line, he doesn’t possess the speed to keep that space, allowing corners to catch up to him and cause more contested catches than one would hope. In a few games in college, he also struggled to play through contact, which would be an issue in a more physical league.
