When is the 2025 NFL Draft?
The 2025 NFL Draft kicks off on Thursday, April 24, beginning at 8 p.m. ET. The draft will take place in Green Bay, WI, which brings plenty of potential challenges. Only Round 1 will take place on Thursday. Rounds 2-3 will take place on April 25th, with the remaining four rounds wrapping up on Sunday, April 26th. There will be 257 players selected across the seven rounds, with many more getting phone calls immediately afterward.

Strengths
Jaxson Dart is this draft class’ gunslinger. He has a good arm and all of the arm talent to be an NFL quarterback. On top of that, he is mobile enough to extend plays. At his best, you can put his overall skill up there with anyone else in this class. Dart is also skilled with fakes, making him a weapon in play-action concepts immediately. The Ole Miss passer also showcased that he can throw under pressure as well, making throws in and out of the pocket.
Weaknesses
While Dart has all of the talent needed, he needs to put it all together on a more consistent basis. His gunslinger mentality also means he will make a bad decision every once in a while, and a lack of attention to mechanics can lead to some misses.
Some also criticize Dart by saying too much of his success was due to the Lane Kiffin system. While Kiffin undoubtedly helps, 100% of Dart’s stats were earned by himself. In my opinion, it’s a lazy take.
