Hornets vs Pacers NBA Betting Overview

Hornets Outlook

The Hornets enter this matchup as the No. 10 seed in the Eastern Conference. Unfortunately, the Hornets finished their season losing seven of their final 10 games. The losses are excusable to an extents as they faced the Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Clippers and New York Knicks in three of their final four games. The Hornets have been particularly bad on the road this season (15-21), but they have an array of guards capable of popping off for a single game if given the chance including LaMelo Ball.

We all know that Terry Rozier is capable of leading a team in the playoffs from his time with the Boston Celtics. In the 2018 playoffs, Rozier played 36.8 minutes per game and averaged 16.7 points per game. We also know that Devonte’ Graham is capable of great shooting as well with a three point shooting percentage of 37.5%. The area that hurts the Hornets is the lack of guys outside of Rozier with valuable playoff experience. Will the pressure get to this young squad?

Hornets Injury Report

  • Out: Gordon Hayward (foot), Caleb Martin (ankle)

Pacers Outlook

The Indiana Pacers finished the season 5-5 in their final ten games. Oddly enough, having homecourt advantage tonight may hurt the Pacers who are 13-23 at home but 21-15 on the road. Overall, the Pacers have been battered and bruised all season and, like the Hornets, have really limped into the position they are in. They will be short- handed in this matchup which is definitely cause for concern.

Pacers Injury Report

  • Questionable: Aaron Holiday (foot), Edmond Summer (knee), Domantas Sabonis (quad), Malcolm Brogdon (hamstring)
  • Out: Myles Turner (toe), Jeremy Lamb (knee)
  • Charlotte is 4-8 against the spread (ATS) in its last 12 games.
  • Charlotte is 0-5 SU in its last five games.
  • Charlotte is 1-6 ATS in its last seven games on the road.
  • Indiana is 6-1 ATS in its last seven games.
  • The total has gone OVER in 10 of Indiana’s last 13 games.
  • Indiana is 5-0 ATS in its last five games at home.
