Every Monday, we will be releasing our FCS Spring Football Rankings, with some of the major storylines over the weekend. After ascending to the top of the rankings last week, (1) Weber State beat a good UC Davis team, 18-13, to retain the top spot in our weekly FCS Spring Football Rankings.

(1) Weber State reeled off 15 straight points in the second half, to give them the huge win at home. (2) North Dakota and (4) South Dakota State retained their top-four positions, after beating Western Illinois and Youngstown State. Nicholls State drops out of the rankings altogether this week. The Colonels traveled to (5) Sam Houston State on Saturday and left with a lot of questions. After dismantling Nicholls State, 71-17, the Bearkats enter the top five this week.

In other games throughout the country, (7) North Dakota State beat a good Illinois State team, 21-13, and jumps back into the top-10. (3) Southern Illinois jumps up four spots to number three after beating Northern Iowa 17-16. (6) James Madison was idle and CAA foe Villanova lost a close one to (10) Rhode Island.

FCS Spring Football Top-10 Headlines | College Football News

(1) Weber State faced their toughest test to date, and still managed to beat UC Davis, 18-13. Daniel Wright Jr. and Dontae McMillan each had second half rushing touchdowns. The Wildcats will be idle this week.

(2) North Dakota handed Western Illinois their third straight loss, beating the Leathernecks, 38-21. A trip to the Fargodome awaits the Hawks this weekend.

(3) Southern Illinois has probably the best resume out there. They beat previously ranked Northern Iowa over the weekend. The Salukis host (4) South Dakota State this weekend, in a huge game with post-season implications.

(4) South Dakota State struggled to beat Youngstown State. However, in the end they did. Combine that with losses around them, and the Jackrabbits are sitting pretty. They have a huge game at (3) South Dakota State this weekend.

(5) Sam Houston State made quick work of Nicholls State. They are going to be a very dangerous team in the playoffs.

(6) James Madison doesn’t move up or down. They were idle this weekend, but they host (10) Rhode Island this weekend in a huge CAA game.

(7) North Dakota State re-enters the top-10, after pulling out a win versus Illinois state. The Bison will still probably be favorites heading into the biggest rivalry in the Dakotas this weekend.

(8) Kennesaw State, the Big South’s only top-10 team, beat Charleston Southern this past weekend. They ran all over Charleston Southern. If their running game keeps rolling along, they will be a tough out this FCS Spring Football postseason.

(9) Richmond beat Elon, 38-14. The Spiders will head to Harrisonburg this weekend to take on the Dukes, in what could be the biggest game of the CAA Spring Season.

(10) Rhode Island is a new member of the top-10. They beat previously-ranked Villanova over the weekend to push them into the top-10.
