Fantasy Football WR Rankings Week 9
Hopefully, these fantasy football rankings help to get you the win this week! With creating the best fantasy rankings, editing/writing articles, making videos, and then working another job, we are fueled by pure caffeine this season! If you would like to support the cause by buying me a coffee, I would appreciate it!
Jayden Reed is the WR10 in PPR this season, but he has totaled under 12 fantasy points in half of his games. The Detroit Lions have run an even amount of man and zone coverage this season. Reed has really struggled against man coverage, catching 3-of-8 targets for eight yards.
Calvin Ridley seemingly woke up last week, catching 10-of-15 targets for 143 yards and a touchdown. He ranks fourth in the NFL in air yards (802), so the issue has been making the connection, not the targets. He plays a New England Patriots team that allows the seventh-highest completion rate (67.5%) and the sixth-highest yards per pass attempt (7.3).
Chris Olave had a nice bounce-back performance last week, catching 8-of-14 targets for 107 yards. This week, he plays a Carolina Panthers team that allows the most yards per pass attempt (7.8) and the second-highest completion rate (71.9%). Olave should have a good game regardless of the quarterback, but Derek Carr also has a chance to return this week.
Josh Downs has been a different wide receiver without Anthony Richardson. He totaled 24 receptions for 217 yards and two touchdowns in the three games Joe Flacco played in this season. The Minnesota Vikings have played only seven games, but they still have surrendered the second-most total fantasy points to WRs this season.
