Fantasy Football Week 9 TE Streamers

Jake Ferguson Fantasy Outlook (52.3%)

Jake Ferguson is a terrific all-around tight end. He has the exact balanced skillset that the Dallas Cowboys look for. The issue for him this season has been Dallas using more of a committee approach at the position. However, he has now played at least 80% of the snaps in back-to-back games, and Jake Ferguson fantasy owners were rewarded last week.

Last game, Ferguson had four catches for 47 yards and a touchdown. This week, he faces a Philadelphia Eagles defense that is average against TEs. Most importantly, Dallas will likely have to pass in order to move the ball effectively, and Ferguson should have his fair share of targets from Dak Prescott in this divisional rivalry.

Trey McBride Fantasy Outlook (24.7%)

Without Zach Ertz in the lineup last week, the second-year Arizona Cardinals tight end enjoyed a fantastic performance. Trey McBride saw a whopping 14 targets in the game, which is insane usage for a tight end. He caught 10 of them for 95 yards and a touchdown.

While I think the usage is partially due to Josh Dobbs, as he has shown the tendency to pepper the tight end with targets, the young Clayton Tune will likely look to the easy completion underneath to McBride as well. Yes, the matchup is tough, but McBride’s usage looks to be solid enough to warrant his place in this fantasy football streamers article.

Cade Otton Fantasy Outlook (3.4%)

If you are looking for a fantasy football Week 9 TE streamers candidate who is virtually unowned, Cade Otton is the choice for you. The young, talented tight end for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers has seen his usage rise over the past couple of weeks. He has seen 12 targets over the past two games, catching nine of them for 70 yards.

No, Otton doesn’t appear to have top-tier potential at the TE position. However, he is a relatively safe option for your fantasy football lineup based on his usage and the matchup. Otton faces the Houston Texans, who have surrendered the third-most fantasy points to opposing TEs this season.
