It was a rough week at the quarterback position for many last week, as there weren’t many great matchups. Those who read my article may have gotten a win thanks to Tua Tagovailoa. Now, it’s time to do it again. With only two teams on bye, the job does become easier, but that also means there are more potential options to lure you away from the right choice. Lock out all the outside noise, and let me give you the three best quarterback fantasy football streamers for Week 8.
Read on for three QB fantasy football streamers that are worth consideration for Week 7. In some cases, one might still be able to claim these passers off of waivers. In order to be included in the fantasy football QB streamers article, they must be rostered in less than 60 percent of ESPN leagues.
Week 8 Fantasy Football QB Streamers
Sam Darnold | Carolina Panthers (at ATL)
I know it may seem like Sam Darnold is a risky play after being benched last week against the New York Giants, but hear me out. Darnold is rostered in just 46.3% of leagues. Much is thanks to being arguably the worst quarterback in football the past three weeks. With that in mind, Darnold gets a dream rebound matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.
One of the biggest problems for Darnold has been staying in a clean pocket and throwing his receivers open. Against Atlanta, he faces the third-worst defense against quarterbacks. Darnold doesn’t need to worry about the pocket and his receivers should easily be able to get open. D.J. Moore and Robby Anderson should feast on this Atlanta secondary and Darnold should have running lanes to escape if under duress. All of this adds up to a one-week bounce back for the quarterback formerly known as “Vanilla Vick.”

Daniel Jones | New York Giants (at KC)
It’s time to put our differences on the Giants aside and admit one thing: Daniel Jones is good at football. Although he has struggled the last three weeks, it’s not solely on him. The first was due to being knocked out of the game against Dallas. Then, Jones had to face Aaron Donald and the Los Angeles Rams defense. In the third week, he was solid against a good Carolina defense. This week, the man who is only rostered in 28.2% of leagues gets a date with the second-worst defense against quarterbacks in the entire NFL.
Outside of the outliers that were Weeks 5 and 6, Jones has never dipped below 16.5 fantasy points. Even if the Kansas City Chiefs can get their offense going, that just helps Jones. There is no game script here that deters the Giants from leaning on Daniel Jones. His ability with his legs gives him a nice boost to his ceiling. Don’t be surprised if he scampers in for a score.
Trevor Lawrence | Jacksonville Jaguars (at SEA)
The vaunted 12th man in Seattle isn’t what it used to be. That’s not a slam on the fans, but they don’t factor into the equation when their team is this bad. Rostered in just 35.1% of leagues, Trevor Lawrence’s worst week still saw him post over 15.5 points against the Miami Dolphins before last week’s bye. Lawrence now has an extra full week of prep and gets to play against a mid-tier fantasy football defense when it comes to quarterbacks.
For all the faults of Urban Meyer, he isn’t a completely lost cause. Seattle’s loss to the Saints on Monday night showed just how open they are to being gashed by receiving running backs. Jacksonville just so happens to have two guys who can easily do that in James Robinson and Carlos Hyde. While the Jaguars won’t run away with this game, the Seahawks are not good at football and are scrambling to try to simply be in contention for when Russell Wilson returns. All of that sounds pretty good for Trevor Lawrence who should be able to take advantage of a team in panic mode.
