With Week 4 in the books, injuries, bad luck and all cons that come with fantasy football have happened. Fantasy managers are now beginning to scout out waiver wire gems that could turn into potential fantasy football Week 5 RB streamers. The running backs on the waiver wire will likely be scarce in deep formats, but injuries happen and those potential streaming options will surface over time.

Fantasy Football Week 5 RB Streamers

Tyler Allgeier Fantasy Outlook at TB (37.4%)

This isn’t a pretty matchup by any means, considering the Buccaneers allow the third-fewest fantasy points per game (FPPG) to opposing running backs, but there isn’t much competition for Tyler Allgeier. With Cordarrelle Patterson on IR, that leaves only Caleb Huntley to take some carries away from Allgeier. He is a stronger flex play than RB2 simply because he could very well struggle running the ball, but Allgeier is a high-upside fantasy football Week 5 RB streamer.

Brian Robinson Fantasy Outlook vs TEN (39.8%)

The rookie Brian Robinson has finally been cleared to practice after a scary situation outside of football. It’s clear the Commanders run game has struggled to start the season and Robinson could be the solution, as he looked very good in the preseason and has some serious potential to become a great professional running back. Check to make sure Brian Robinson is cleared to play. If he is, he could be a fantasy football Week 5 RB streamer that has long-term holding value.

Latavius Murray Fantasy Outlook vs IND (8.0%)

With Javonte Williams out for the year and Melvin Gordon having trouble holding onto the football, the Broncos signed Latavius Murray. The veteran just played a game last week for the Saints and scored a touchdown, so there shouldn’t be any concerns about him “getting back into it.” The Denver Broncos don’t have many great options in the backfield, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see Murray carve out a role faster than you’d expect.
