Fantasy Football Week 5 QB Streamers
Geno Smith Fantasy Streamer at NO (15.1%)
In arguably the biggest shock of the year, Geno Smith is having a career resurgence. He has combined for seven touchdowns and just two interceptions. Smith is currently QB9 and has only one week below 17 points, which came against a tough San Francisco 49ers defense in Week 2.
In Week 5, Geno Smith has a tough matchup against the New Orleans Saints. The matchup may deter some from picking him up, but it shouldn’t deter you. Smith has thrown for over 320 yards in each of his last two games and has at least two touchdowns in three of four games. You can be confident in a high-volume game for Smith once again. Seeing he’s done a solid job limiting his turnovers to this point, there doesn’t seem to be much holding him back.

Ryan Tannehill Fantasy Streamer at WSH (15.3%)
Out of all the quarterbacks in the NFL, Ryan Tannehill may be the least attractive player amongst the fantasy football Week 5 QB streamers. At the end of the day, all that matters is production. Through four games, Tannehill has produced a solid floor. Outside of one outlier performance against a Buffalo Bills team playing at an elite level, Tannehill has scored over 18.5 points in two games and over 14 points in the other.
This week, Tannehill gets a juicy matchup with the Washington Commanders. Washington has the 26th-ranked fantasy defense against quarterbacks and has been diced up by the likes of Trevor Lawrence, Jared Goff and, most recently, Cooper Rush. While none of these quarterbacks are “bad,” it speaks volumes that they’ve forced just one turnover all season. Tannehill’s game manager style will give him a steady floor with a possible boom opportunity if he’s able to score another quarterback sneak as he did in Week 3.
Jared Goff Fantasy Streamer at NE (44.1%)
It makes absolutely no sense as to why Jared Goff isn’t owned in more fantasy leagues. He is currently QB5 and yet isn’t even rostered in over half of fantasy leagues. The Detroit Lions defense is flat-out awful, so the Lions find themselves in shootouts virtually every week. With a lot of talent surrounding him and with a high volume needed to keep games close, Goff is an elite play at quarterback for the foreseeable future.
Goff and the Lions will face a tough road test as they travel to Gillette Stadium to take on the New England Patriots. The Patriots’ defense is the 24th-ranked fantasy defense against quarterbacks and will struggle to continue Detroit’s multiple weapons. Although the Patriots don’t boast a good offense, the Lions coaching staff knows how bad this defense is and will try to pile on as many points as they can so the defense can’t possibly lose them the game. With a solid game script no matter how the game plays out, Goff is a great fantasy football Week 5 QB streamer.
