We are through four weeks of the regular season and there are only three teams that are still undefeated and they have all done it in slightly different ways. For the second week in a row, there are only two teams on bye and neither have many relevant fantasy players; the Detroit Lions and Miami Dolphins. If you have been starting Kerryon Johnson, Kenny Golladay, Marvin Jones or Preston Williams, you need to make sure you have replacements in place. Some of my favorite waiver wire adds to fill the voids left by injuries or bye weeks follow.
To be considered as a possible “add,” they need to be owned in less than 60% of ESPN leagues. The “drops” on this list are by no means must-drop, but if you can add one of the add players, these are some of the first players you should drop.

QB/RB Adds
Jameis Winston, QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (44.8%)
After a slow start to the season, Jameis Winston has strung together back-to-back games with over 380 passing yards and at least three touchdowns. Through four weeks, Winston ranks fourth in the league in air yards and has thrown for a total of 1,167 yards and nine touchdowns. Winston may be performing near peak efficiency right now, and that should continue in Week 5 against the Saints.
Ronald Jones, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (41.2%)
With bye weeks here, RB usage will be important to monitor. Since Week 2, Ronald Jones has seen an increase in snaps and carries week after week, while Peyton Barber has seen a decrease in snaps and carries over that same span. The offense appears to be coming together and that should open things up for Jones in the coming weeks. The Saints have been a pretty tough defense to run against, so starting Jones in Week 5 will be a bit of a risk, but this is a long-term pickup.
Jordan Howard, RB, Philadephia Eagles (56%)
Since Week 2, Howard has seen an increase in snaps each week, while both Sanders and Sproles have had decreasing roles over that same span. In Week 4, Howard had seven red zone touches compared to only one for Sanders and Sproles combined. Howard was able to capitalize and turn three of his red zone touches into touchdowns. He is not likely to score three touchdowns again, but his goal line usage is encouraging and gives him every week value.
Darrel Williams, RB, Kansas City Chiefs (44.3%)
Without Damien Williams in the lineup for the second straight week, Darrel Williams has not disappointed his owners in fantasy. He and LeSean McCoy split the backfield with each playing roughly 50% of the offensive snaps. McCoy was far more efficient with his touches, but Williams was able to find the end zone twice. Even if Damien Williams is back for Week 5 you should not drop Darrel Williams since he has shown how valuable he can be without either McCoy or Damien Williams in the lineup.
Pass Catcher Adds
Golden Tate, WR, New York Giants (50.5%)
After his four-game suspension, Golden Tate is returning to a Giants team that is currently on a two-game winning streak, with Daniel Jones playing quarterback. That streak could increase to three against the Vikings, but is likely to come to a crashing halt in Week 6 against the New England Patriots, whose defense has only given up one touchdown this season. Aside from Shepard, Tate is the only WR of any significance on the Giants and he should be owned based on how Jones has been playing in his limited time as a starter.
Geronimo Allison, WR, Green Bay Packers (27.2%)
The high-scoring Thursday night game was Allison’s best fantasy game of the season, with three catches for 52 yards and a touchdown. With Davante Adams likely to miss at least one week, Allison will see an increased role in the passing game.
Corey Davis, WR, Tennessee Titans (47.4)
It was not that long ago that Davis was the 10th overall pick in the NFL Draft. He may be off to a slow start, but things are starting to pick up. He has seen an increase in yards each week this season and Week 4 was his best game since Week 11 of 2018. This will be the only chance you have to get Davis off of waivers, so act quickly.
Diontae Johnson, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers (6.2%)
Through four weeks, Johnson has made his case as to why he is the Steelers WR2. In back-to-back games, he has had at least 50 yards and a touchdown. This streak is likely not to continue for much longer, but it is clear that Rudolph and Johnson have some chemistry, so Johnson is worthy of being added to your roster. In addition to his receiving work, Johnson has been used in the running game a bit.
Jimmy Graham, WR, Green Bay Packers (35.7%)
On Thursday night, only Davante Adams saw more targets than Jimmy Graham. With it looking like Adams will miss at least one week, Graham is likely to see an increase in targets in the coming weeks. In Week 4, Graham had three targets in the red zone, so there are likely more touchdowns to come for Graham this season.
Tyler Eifert, TE, Cincinnati Bengals (17.3%)
Even though Tyler Eifert has not had an impressive season so far, that should change in Week 5. The Arizona Cardinals have given up the most points to opposing tight ends. He will be one of the top streamers of the week.
Drops
QB: Mitch Trubisky, Kirk Cousins
RB: Latavius Murray, Darwin Thompson
WR: Kenny Stills, Anthony Miller
TE: Trey Burton, Vance McDonald
