Week 2 is in the books, and boy was it a wild week. When it comes to fantasy football streamers, the defense/special teams position is always one to monitor consistently on the waiver wire. In deep formats, it can be hard to find a defense that returns a solid value, which is why many fantasy owners opt to intentionally stream the position all season long, playing positive matchups over drafting a highly-regarded unit. For those looking to do just that, read on for three fantasy football Week 3 defense streamers that are worth consideration.
Defenses must be owned in less than 50 percent of ESPN leagues to be included in the fantasy football Week 3 defense streamers column. All ownerships for defenses will be provided and will reflect that of Wednesday morning, once waivers are processed.
Fantasy Football Week 3 Defense Streamers
Kansas City Chiefs at IND (8.7%)
This Kansas City Chiefs defense is certainly not great looking and is banged up, but the matchup could be really good at such low ownership. The Colts are terrible offensively right now, and they barely used Jonathan Taylor in Week 2. Taylor is simply too good and he could make or break streaming the Chiefs defense himself, but knowing how good Patrick Mahomes is, the Colts will be down early. I’d take the chance of hoping for Matt Ryan to make plenty of mistakes like he did last week.
New York Giants vs. DAL (4.7%)
The Dallas Cowboys offense shouldn’t present much of a challenge for the New York Giants’ defense. I know streaming the Giants isn’t pretty, but at just 4.7 percent ownership, it’s almost a given that they’ll be available. It’s a divisional game and the Giants are feeling themselves, sitting atop the division at 2-0. If they can get pressure on Cooper Rush, he will likely make plenty of mistakes.

Atlanta Falcons at SEA (4.4%)
The Atlanta Falcons defense pretty good during their comeback against the Rams in Week 2. They were able to force turnovers, apply pressure and surprisingly get their defense off the field. This matchup against the Seattle Seahawks could return solid fantasy value at such low ownership, as long as Geno Smith doesn’t play the way he did in Week 1. Seattle has no true threat to winning this game unless the Falcons fall apart and allow them to.
