We are officially one week into the 2021 NFL season and hopefully, your fantasy football team still has a zero in the loss column. Like always in the first few weeks, your leagues are likely filled with people panicking and scrambling for pieces to fill holes in their team. However, there is plenty of value in players that maybe don’t get the love that others do.

In fantasy, it’s not about name value or who has the best-looking team. It’s about who gets the result. At quarterback, there are plenty of players that will get you those results that are still being neglected. Here are three fantasy football Week 2 QB streamers, along with three quarterbacks at the end who will have a tall order this week.

Week 2 Fantasy Football QB Streamers

Tyrod Taylor | Houston Texans (at CLE)

Tyrod Taylor is an enigma. He will not lose you games, he’s a solid passer and he has plenty of running ability. Unfortunately, bad luck and teams using him as a placeholder have stopped him from having continued success with one team. While he did play a bad Jacksonville defense in Week 1, he still answered the bell. He threw for just under 300 yards with two touchdowns and 40 yards on the ground for 23.64 fantasy points.

The Texans do play a tougher defense in the Cleveland Browns, but he should still get his. He was the starter in Cleveland before they benched him for rookie Baker Mayfield and the rest is history. Not only is this a revenge game, but with Cleveland’s offense, the Texans will be playing from behind the whole game. When you have a player available who will have the perfect game script and rarely makes mistakes, you have to jump on him. He won’t be the flashiest play of the week at the position, but if you’re scrambling for a QB replacement thanks to a tough matchup, Taylor is your guy.

He is currently only rostered in just over 6% of leagues.

Ben Roethlisberger | Pittsburgh Steelers (vs. LV)

It’s not surprising that Big Ben’s ownership is low, following a weak fantasy football performance in Week 1 against the Bills. In Week 2, however, he gets a nice matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders back in Pittsburgh. While the Raiders’ defense is improved, it’s still not very good. Compared to Buffalo’s, it’s not even in the same stratosphere. As a result, on change in defense alone, Roethlisberger can be expected to be much better. Pittsburgh will put up a decent amount of points this week, which will give Roethlisberger plenty of value.

While Big Ben only had 12 fantasy points last week, the Steelers still won the game. Their defense is so dominant that Ben had to do the smallest amount to escape Buffalo with a win. Taking this vaunted defense back home against a Raiders team coming off an emotional game on short rest, and this is slated to be a feast for the Steelers defense. All that adds up to is better field position and more opportunities for the offense on the field. When they are on the field, it will be much easier to move the ball which will likely lead to a nice bounce-back week.

Roethlisberger is rostered in just under 35% of leagues as well, so he will be right there for the taking.

Teddy Bridgewater | Denver Broncos (at JAX)

Stop me if you’ve heard this before. Teddy Bridgewater has gotten no respect from national media, after a solid performance. Bridgewater may lack the “wow” factor that a Mahomes or Rodgers brings at the position, but that doesn’t make him any less valuable. Although Teddy had an easier matchup against the Giants in Week 1, it was still impressive. Bridgewater completed 28-of-36 passes for over 250 yards and two touchdowns. With just over 20 fantasy points, Bridgewater was QB14 last week. That might not seem good, but that means he was good enough to be a starter or fringe starter, even in 12-team leagues.

Somehow, Teddy’s matchup gets even easier for Week 2. The Broncos travel to Jacksonville to play the Jaguars, who were just trounced by Houston. Denver has a better defense than Houston and more weapons on offense too, even with the injury to Jerry Jeudy. Tyrod put up QB11 numbers against Jacksonville, so it would make sense that Bridgewater jas top-10 upside in Week 2.

With multiple tough matchups for big-time quarterbacks, Bridgewater is criminally rostered in only 9.4% of leagues. There is a possible top-12 QB that is rostered in one out of every 20 leagues and you have a chance to look like the smartest guy in the league when he produces yet again. Why not take the free opportunity?
